Hurricane Dorian

Hurricane Dorian Update

Due to Hurricane Dorian, all of the Baker County Schools will be closed Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019. All events scheduled for this evening will continue as planned. Beginning tomorrow, Saturday, August 31st, all facilities will be closed for safety and security purposes.  We are concerned about the high number of evacuation routes and evacuees coming to Baker for shelter. Tuesday morning we are projected to have high winds that will increase through the afternoon and do not feel it is safe to transport students in these potentially dangerous weather conditions. We will remain in contact with  Emergency Operations Center  and will release additional updates through our Alert Now phone system and on the district website as they become available.

The safety and welfare of our students, families, faculty, and our community is a priority. Please stay safe and know that each of you are in our prayers as we prepare for the storm. Praying for all of Florida and the families and communities that could possibly be impacted.

God bless each of  you,
Sherrie Raulerson
Superintendent of Schools
