Dear Friends,

Welcome to 6^th grade!!

I would like to introduce myself. I am Tiffany Harvey. I am a native of Baker County. I graduated from Baker County High School in 1999. From there I attended Lake City Community College followed by undergraduate studies at both the University of Florida and University of North Florida. I earned my bachelor's degree in Education in 2004.  I am certified in Elementary Education K-6 as well as English to Speakers of Other Languages. This will be my 18th year of teaching 6th grade reading.

I am married to Deymon Harvey. We have one son, Briar, who is 17 years old. Briar is a Senior at BCHS. I feel that I received an excellent education in this school system and am very fortunate to have a son receiving an education in Baker County. I am excited to provide this same educational experience for other children and parents in my community.  

In my classroom, I will promote an atmosphere of safety, trust and respect. I will make learning fun and hands on, and work to build a sense of community among my students. I will emphasize the concept of teamwork and cooperation both in my classroom as I work with my peers. I believe that great things can happen when we work together and I hope to convey this idea with my students in their daily life.

I do realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best this year to ensure that your child has a motivating and safe learning experience in my classroom. However, I cannot do this alone. I need your help. The both of us, along with your child, need to be partners in the learning process. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns during this year.
