Westside Elementary School

Thank you for visiting Westside Elementary School's website. 

Our wonderful school was constructed in 1972. For the last 51 years, Westside has promoted a safe, professional, and effective learning environment for its students. Beginning this school year, Westside will be serving 1st grade through 5th grade. The school consists of 36 classrooms. There are eight 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classrooms, six 4th and 5th grade classrooms, and our Exceptional Student Education classrooms. It is a predominantly open-concept facility housing approximately 650 students. 

Westside Elementary School is a highly effective campus, earning "A's" from the FLDOE and being recognized as a School of Excellence!  Our teachers and staff work very hard to maintain this Culture of Excellence.  

PBS (Positive Behavior Support) is successfully implemented school-wide, and we have high behavioral expectations for students.

These expectations are: Act responsibly ** Be honest ** Choose safety first ** Show respect**

These are our A, B, C 'S! When students are seen demonstrating these behaviors, they are rewarded with Paw Bucks that they can use to purchase fantastic event days, PawMart items, classroom treats and prizes, and special privileges.  

We are proud of our Westside Panthers and our exceptional staff of teachers, para-professionals, food service and custodial personnel.  We are a family here at WES, and we are happy to serve the children and families of our community!
