DENTAL PROGRAM
The Dental Bussing Program enables eligible children to be “bussed” to the health department during school hours for dental care.
Students who are on Medicaid are eligible for this program.
A few students will be bussed to the health department during the designated appointment times. Children are provided with a work area so that they can complete their school work while waiting for their appointment.
The school nurse will collect permission slips and coordinate the visits with the school and dental department. Any parent interested, should contact their child’s school nurse or the Baker County Health Department at 259-6291 ext 2282.
At each visit, your child will receive a letter informing you of the dental procedures performed and what treatment is still needed. Parents are encouraged to contact the dental staff at the health department if they have any specific questions or concerns.
This has been a long standing program. It is an excellent opportunity for parents who work or may have transportation problems to have their child’s dental needs met.
