Following school closures due to Hurricane Irma, the district has been discussing possible options related to regaining valuable instructional time, the Baker County School District has made a decision to replace the seven remaining early dismissal days with regular full days of instruction. We believe this is a good decision and in the best interest of our students and their education.
ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program
The Baker County School District would like to say a very special "THANK YOU" to R.H. Through our amazing 17 year partnership nearly $100,000 has been donated to the Baker County School District. We greatly appreciate their support and generosity in providing funding to enhance educational opportunities in the areas of science and math!
The Baker County School District Mission and Vision Statements:
Lock Your Meds Campaign
The Lock Your Meds® campaign, created by the National Family Partnership, is a universal prevention campaign intended to save lives by preventing prescription drug abuse, which is the fastest growing substance abuse problem in America. Did you know that 67% of abused medications come from family and friends, not a stranger/drug dealer or the internet? Lock Your Meds® encourages people to secure and take regular inventory of their medication so it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Many adults may be unintentional suppliers and awareness is the key to ending this preventable epidemic. Click HERE for campaign resources
