Baker County Adult Education:
A Word from our Director
Mrs. Carrie Dopson
The Baker County Adult Education Center (BCAEC) located at 418 S 8th Street has something for everyone— from academic instruction toward completing a high school education to CNA or Phlebotomy certificates!
For adults 18 and older who need to complete a high school education, the Baker Adult Education Center offers day, evening, and online classes of Adult Basic Education to improve literacy and test preparation for GED® testing. With successful GED® test scores, adults earn a Florida High School Diploma---a first step toward employment, entering college or other post-secondary training program. Tuition is $30 per term and a valid picture ID is required. Adults may qualify for tuition assistance and GED® test fee assistance through a Career Source grant. Certified teachers are available to assist adult education students with an individualized program of study. Adults who academically qualify and have internet access may complete their education program online.
Recently added is the Phlebotomy and Certified Nursing Assistant training program to help adults move quickly into a health field career. Please watch the website for updated information, or please call 904-259-0403. We will be happy to assist you 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday.
At the Baker County Adult Education Center, we hope to inspire you to become the very best at what you do! We look forward to serving you.
