Baker County Middle School is planning on having report cards ready for pick-up starting on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. The school is open from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday of each week during the summer.
Grades will be finalized on the report card for all classes except Civics and Algebra I. Due to the Department of Education’s testing calendar, we won’t receive our students’ EOC scores for Algebra and Civics until the end of June. A second, completed report card will be printed for these students sometime in July. Again, we are dependent upon the State of Florida to release those scores to us before we can finalize grades for those two classes.
In addition to this information about the fourth nine weeks report card, BCMS also has a request related to library books. If your child has a library book at home that needs to be returned, please return it as soon as possible. Again, our hours of operation during the summer are 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday.
Baker County Middle School would like to express our gratitude to R.H. Davis Oil Co., Inc. and Exxon Mobil for their $1000 donation to our school through the Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance Program. Thank you so much for selecting our school to receive these funds and for your continued support!
Baker County Middle School recently held Parent Nights fo each grade level. If you were not able to attend or you would like the review the information shared at the events, please click the links below.
This is to inform you we will be conducting safety and security drills throughout the school year. As with all other safety drills we have conducted over the years, it will involve the movement of students across our campus. They will be under the direct supervision of their teachers during these activities. We will be assisted by the Baker County Sheriff's Department during the course of these drills. Again, these are drills. The safety of your student is our first and most important commitment. If you have any questions, please contact the school at 904-259-2226.
In order to protect valuable instructional time, BCMS does not accept deliveries for students. This includes gym clothes, backpacks, lunch boxes, money, projects, etc. Students should bring all necessary items with them to school. Thank you for your cooperation.
As you may be aware, BCMS has made some changes to where students go on campus before the bell rings. 6th graders can go to the gym or their cafeteria. 7th and 8th graders can go to their cafeteria or the auditorium. The library is open to students from all grade levels but is limited to a certain number of students. As a reminder and for your child’s safety, please use the designated drop off loop located behind the superintendent’s office. Do not allow your child to get out of the vehicle on any of the main roads. Thank you for your continued support!
Before students can have internet access at school, there is a contract located on page 11 in the student planner that students and parents/guardians need to read, sign, and return. If this has not already been done, please do so as soon as possible. Thank you!
